However, we are not an "open-door" service. To maintain the value of the Crypsis brand for all our members, we only accept manuscripts that fit our specific Speculative Fiction niche.
Call for Manuscripts: Speculative Fiction
We are currently seeking novel and novella-length manuscripts that challenge perception. We want stories that blend scientific rigor with atmospheric dread.
While we typically focus on Science Fiction, Mystery, and Horror, we are open to submissions across a wider variety of speculative fiction genres.
Science Fiction
Near-future, biological tech, and stories exploring the "Great Filter." Give us the Antikythera of the future.
Horror
Psychological and Folk Horror. We prefer the "dread of the unknown" over simple gore. Think Annihilation meets The Wicker Man.
Mystery
Non-linear narratives and "locked-room" puzzles where the solution is hidden in biological or technical details.
The "Crypsis" Element
We are particularly interested in stories featuring characters or threats that survive by blending in—the unseen, the camouflaged, and the overlooked.

How to Join the Collective
Because we operate as a collective, our "acceptance" is a two-step process:
Editorial Review
Submit your work for a fit-check. We ensure your manuscript meets our thematic and quality standards to protect the integrity of the collective.
Onboarding
If accepted, you pay a transparent, one-time fee covering your professional ISBN, imprint registration, and consulting session to guide you through self-publishing.

Please send your Name, Title, Synopsis, and the first 10 pages of your manuscript as an attachment (.doc or .pdf) to submissions@crypsispress.com
Note: Crypsis Press only reviews completed and polished manuscripts. To ensure the best possible consideration for your work, please do not submit unfinished drafts or unedited projects.
